About

Hello, my name is Preet.

I’m a photographer based in Ottawa and working everywhere.

For years it was hard to understand what I wanted, until the viewfinder showed me: all I ever wanted was to capture time.

It started with a camera obscura, a dark room where light through a small hole shows the world upside down on the wall. Today, with a variety of lenses and a set of frames that narrate the story of a moment, I photograph everything from cityscapes to lifestyle.

I’m happiest when a project lets me meet new people and travel to new places. I’m just a mail away.

I am learning the art of capturing time.

Through my lens

When nobody has booked me

Cities in fog, winter mornings, a bird on a dead branch. The work I make for myself.

The Bank of Montreal building lit gold at blue hour, a black car passing

A gothic tower of Parliament Hill fading into fog above snowy streets
